Why is making a donation to the San Antonio Symphony so important?

Since 1939, your San Antonio Symphony has inspired, educated and entertained audiences through the performance of live orchestral music. It is through the generosity of individuals like you and corporations and foundations that we continue our mission of service. Your contribution sustains a cultural treasure and provides for the continuity and growth of the performing arts and music education in our community.

The San Antonio Symphony is one of the cornerstones of the education and music system in our community. Our musicians not only play Symphony concerts, but also offer their talents to many other arts groups and teach in many area schools and work with countless young people in private music lessons. The arts play a critical role in the vitality of downtown and economic development. The City’s 2020 plan correctly recognizes the unique and important role of music and music education in the health of our community.
