SINGLE TICKETS TO SAN ANTONIO SYMPHONY`S 2019-2020 SEASON TO GO ON-SALE AUGUST 12 AT 10 AM
SYMPHONY ANNOUNCES MOVIES AND SPECIALS FOR 2019-2020 SEASON
Individual tickets for San Antonio Symphony’s 2019-2020 Season go on-sale August 12, 2019, at 10 a.m. Prices will range for the season from $15 - $85, with exclusive offers and packages available for some performances.
Student rush tickets will be available two hours prior to performances at the Tobin Center for $10; there will be no more advanced student discounts, except in group sales. Additionally, no senior discount will be offered.
The Symphony, in addition to the superior Classics and Pops series offerings, will also present several other exciting movies and special concerts throughout the upcoming season.
A special co-presentation with Musical Bridges Around the World, the Symphony will play for Round IV of the 2020 Gurwitz International Piano Competition to be held Saturday, February 1, 2020, at 8 p.m. in H-E-B Performance Hall in The Tobin Center for the Performing Arts. Three Finalists will play concerti with the Symphony, conducted by Symphony Music Director and Competition Jury Chair Sebastian Lang-Lessing.
Ben Folds joins the Symphony on Sunday, February 16, 2020, at the Majestic Theatre. Regarded as one of the major music influencers of our generation, the singer-songwriter has released several solo albums including Rockin’ the Suburbs and Songs for Silverman, and tours internationally with his band, Ben Folds Five. Folds’ extensive output includes such recognizable songs as “The Luckiest” and “Still Fighting It.” He is currently an artistic adviser with the National Symphony Orchestra in Washington D.C.
The ever popular Movie Series will feature Back to the Future Live in Concert on Friday, February 14, 2020, at the Majestic Theatre. The cult-classic, starring Michael J. Fox, will be shown on the big screen while the orchestra plays the score live.
