Beethoven: Symphony No. 3, “Eroica”
San Antonio has one of the largest MLK marches in the country. During Dreamweek 2018, we honor Martin Luther King, Jr. setting his famous I Have a Dream Speech to music by American composer, Joseph Schwantner. The program reflects the power of King’s words and the depth of their emotional content. Ellington honors MLK in a lighter, but no less impactful way. Dedicated to the memories of a lost hero, the program concludes with Beethoven’s Eroica Symphony No. 3, a timeless contribution to humanity.
