Many people choose to contribute to the San Antonio Symphony’s Annual Fund by transferring securities instead of making a direct contribution of cash. Should you choose to make a gift of securities, you will not pay capital gains tax on your gift – and you may be able to claim a Federal income tax deduction based on the full fair market value of the securities on the effective date of your gift.
There are several ways to transfer stock to the San Antonio Symphony. The most convenient way to donate stock is to use electronic wire transfer.
Procedures for making a wire transfer:
- You may have your bank or broker wire transfer the securities directly in to an account the San Antonio Symphony holds at Frost Bank.
- Please inform Annette Paulin, Vice-President of Development, at P.O. Box 658, San Antonio, Texas 78293; telephone, 210-554-1054; email, email@example.com about incoming contributions.
