Position Title: Bookkeeper
Reports To: Accountant
Status: Non-exempt
Job Summary:

This position performs all bookkeeping functions of the organization; accounts receivable and payable; prepares and processes payroll; and assists the Chief Executive Officer.

Requirements:

Education: Associates Degree in Accounting
Experience: Two years in an Accounting Department
Skills: Proficient in Microsoft word, excel, outlook, ADP, and Financial Edge.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Bank Deposits – Prepare daily monies received for deposit to bank account.
  • Accounts Receivable – Input daily receipts determining correct account and job codes; work with Development and Box Office to resolve discrepancies.
  • Accounts Payable – Input invoices verifying account and job codes; process checks for weekly payment.
  • Marketing and Box Office cash reports – Reconcile monthly
  • Payroll – Process payroll on a bi-weekly schedule.
  • Preparation of monthly City of San Antonio DACA Report
  • Create and maintain required Financial Department filing system
  • Other duties and projects as required and assigned by Supervisor
Position Title: Development Associate: Memberships and Events Coordinator
Reports To: Vice President of Development
Status: Exempt, Full Time
Supervises: Volunteers & interns as assigned
Job Summary:

The Memberships and Events Coordinator is responsible for the stewardship and cultivation of the Individual Giving programs within the San Antonio Symphony’s Development Department and the coordination of events to build connections between membership groups and further engagement, patronage, contributed support, and volunteerism.

Requirements:

Education: Associates Degree; BA/BS Degree preferred
Experience: At least 2 years of relevant development experience
Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and experience with Raiser’s Edge or similar CRM system.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Steward existing donors/members to maximize donor/member potential and ensure retention;
  • Identify and cultivate new donor/member prospects;
  • Manage individual donor/business partner information, cultivation and stewardship activities, gift processing, and recognition activities;
  • Develop strategic connections between the Symphony Business Partners and Individual Giving members through coordination of events;
  • Provide the Vice President of Development administrative support; and
  • Other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Development.
