Event begins at 7:00 p.m.
Enjoy a free simulcast of the San Antonio Symphony’s performance
of the Beethoven Violin Concerto featuring renowned violinist Augustin Hadelich.
During the simulcast, we will host a public Paint to Beethoven Contest
to be enjoyed by all ages!!
Top prize winners of the contest will be awarded a family 4-pack of tickets
to a 2016-2017 season San Antonio Symphony concert!!
Following the contest, stay for the second half of our 2015-2016 Season closing concert
featuring Mahler’s monumental “Titan” Symphony!
Evening event schedule is as follows:
7:00 p.m.—Art contest registration and check-in. Pre-concert activities including door prizes for San Antonio Symphony tickets and merchandise and children’s activities.
8:00 p.m.—Simulcast of the San Antonio Symphony performance of Beethoven’s Violin Concerto and creation of art works by art contest participants
8:50 p.m.—Intermission and judging of art contest and awards to top winners
9:10 p.m.—Simulcast of the closing half of the San Antonio Symphony performance with Mahler’s monumental “Titan” Symphony
10:00 p.m.—Event conclusion
Art Contest Details:
Open to the public and people of all ages.
—Materials will be supplied
—Family 4-Pack of tickets to a 2016-2017 season concert will be awarded to the top winners of the four designated age groups

On-site registration will also be available.
Amateur and professional artists are welcome to participate in a separate category for “experienced” artists.
—Artists may bring their own supplies. Art media MUST be water soluble.
—For amateur/professional artists, pre-registration via Eventbrite is required in order to approve media due to restrictions of materials that can be used on the River Walk Plaza.
