Rock ’n’ Roll legend Stewart Copeland, founder and drummer of The Police, stretched his artistic wings with Gamelan D’Drum, a piece in which the full orchestra supports five percussion soloists playing drums assembled from different musical cultures around the world. This evening promises a full spectrum of thrilling orchestral color highlighted by the romantic rhythms of Ravel’s greatest ballet score, Daphnis and Chloé featuring the wondering sounds of the Trinity University Chamber Singers.
