Molly Norcross is excited to rejoin the San Antonio Symphony as Principal Horn during the 2016–2017 season. She previously held the position of Third/Associate Principal for three seasons and is now in her second season as Principal Horn of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, which is currently on strike.
Active as an orchestral player, chamber musician, and soloist, Ms. Norcross is a compelling performer who has impressed and moved audiences worldwide. She has performed with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, Philadelphia Orchestra, Dallas Symphony Orchestra, and Naples Philharmonic. Ms. Norcross has recently appeared in the Wedgwood Chamber Music Series and Basically Beethoven Festivals in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, and has given solo recitals in New York, Boston, and Taipei during her career.
Ms. Norcross received her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from The Juilliard School, and pursued additional professional studies at the New England Conservatory, studying with William Purvis, Jennifer Montone and Richard Sebring, respectively. She was a Fellow at the Music Academy of the West in 2008 and 2011, the Tanglewood Music Center in 2010 and 2012, and the Lucerne Festival Academy (Switzerland) in 2013.
