Valero Classics Series highlights:

will feature fabulous works by some of the most renowned composers of all time!  Our winter festival, Las Américas, features music of composers from North and South America, including Gershwin, Bernstein and many others. Other season highlights include Brahms’s monumental Piano Concerto No. 1 performed by Peter Serkin and Rachmaninoff’s captivating Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini performed by Olga Kern. Violin sensation Sarah Chang will perform Bruch’s romantic Violin Concerto No. 1. The season concludes with Mahler’s compelling Symphony No. 1, “Titan.” This season spotlights superb artists: marvelous pianists, amazing singers, a remarkable cellist, three dynamic violin soloists, including our own extraordinary concertmaster, Eric Gratz, performing Barber’s Violin Concerto.

H-E-B Pops Series Highlights:

The H-E-B Pops continues with a selection of five entertaining programs including a concert filled with some of your favorite Broadway tunes in February featuring with two outstanding Broadway stars performing music from hit musicals such as West Side Story, Chicago, and Phantom of the Opera. Conductor Michael Krajewski makes his return to San Antonio in March for a fun-filled concert with musical scores from your favorite iconic 007 movies.  Don’t miss our final Pops concert of the season featuring some of your favorite patriotic selections, including music from John Williams, Aaron Copland, Gershwin, Sousa and some great radio hits from the ’50s. Our annual Holiday Pops in December and our popular Fiesta Pops performance in April will round out this series of six entertaining programs.
